2 posts in one!

First of all, let talk about the 24th of July
While I was growing up, my Grandpa would always take the whole family to 7 Peaks every year on the 24th of July. But during the last few years our family has changed. Now those of us that used to be running around all over the slides and swimming in the huge wave pool are now Moms and Dads. We have mostly younger kids now. So we have moved from 7 peaks to the Roy Aquatic Center. I was looking forward to having Matt home in the morning and helping me make the rice krispy treats I was making for mine and his family parities. Unfortunately, he got notice the afternoon before that he would be riding the Jiffy Lube float in the Ogden Parade. But he did meet me at the pool after the parade.
Here we are going out into the pool. She has NO fear when it comes to water.

Keldrie was her usual friendly self with all the kids in the pool who weren't smart enough to avoid eye contact with her. Not only did she poke this kid between us in the eye, she then tried to rub off the tattoo on his mom's foot. After that, we quickly moved to a different area of the pool.

Grandma Keller gives Keldrie anything and everything she wants. Right now Keldrie is trying to decide just what she will whine for next.

Way to look at the camera, Keldrie. Anyway we sure had a crazy fun time. It wore Keldrie out too. She fell asleep the moment the car engine kicked over on our way home.
After the pool, a shower, and a nap, it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house to play some more!

Kel and Julia filling up the pool at Grandma Smith's.

Julia is a very sweet and nice girl, but she is still a big sister! Watch out Josh!

No, that isn't a shadow on Matt's left side. He is soaking wet. By the time they were all done, his pants were so wet they were barely staying on! But Keldrie loved playing with her daddy.

It was a wild day and tons of fun! Even Matt and I were exhausted from all the playing. Keldrie had so much fun with Julia and Josh that afternoon. She loves to give Josh hugs. Josh isn't ever quite as happy to recieve them. Julia usually is more excited. These guys have so much fun together. Cousins are fantastic!

I said that this was two post is one, and so it is. About 2 weeks before the 24th, my cousin Candice asked me to watch her youngest child, a little boy who is about 2 months older than Keldrie, while she took her other 7 kids to Cowabunga Bay for the day. Keldrie and Ty had so much fun together.

Here they are shortly after Candice and the other kids left. They found a tennis ball and had lots of fun chasing it and sort of throwing it to, at, or near each other.

What is it with blankets? She loves to drag them around, be wrapped it them, or sit on them.

Keldrie, who has no siblings she needs to share with, had a hard time knowing which sippy cup was hers. Ty had no problem knowing which one was his and was not happy about her using his. Guess I can't blame him!

Here is Keldrie being overly affectionate again.

What a cute little face! Ty was such a good boy for me while his mom was gone. Pretty impressive considering he hardly knew me and I came with Keldrie, who did, toward the end, begin to beat on him a little bit. But she got hers. She pushed him down while they were both on the couch and when he hit the cushion, it bounced her off the couch. I will have to teach her about Karma when she is older.

How much joy and fun there is in a sandbox! They loved it! I would have let them play out there for hours, but it was a hot day and I had no sunscreen. Keldrie did throw some sand on Ty at one point, but I think it was on accident.

Right there at the end, they began to play a game of pick-a-boo behind the curtain. Keldrie is behind the curtain and Ty is opening and closing it. Then they would giggle and run around and then one of them would go back behind the curtain. They had lots of fun, but when Candice came home, Ty was sure happy to see his mom. Kel was pretty excited to have me to herself again. I'm hoping that this all means that Kel will do well in Nursury is 2 months. Here is hoping!
So that is little of what we have been up to lately. One last piece of news is that I went for my first follow up appointment after the ablation treatment and my blood levels are showing normal and the lump is all but gone in my throat. Yay!

  1. That's good news about your appointment!

Keldrie will be in nursery in two months, my goodness how crazy time flies.

Love that picture of Julia getting Josh with the hose, too funny, and yes cousins are the best!
