Last week, Matt and I put an offer in on a town house that we absolutely love. It is the best place we have seen, especially when it comes to square footage, location, and the fact that I actually put Keldrie down on the carpet without worrying about when the carpet was last cleaned. It is a short sale, which means that the owner is selling it for less(short) than what she owes. So the bank makes pretty much all the decisions. Because of that, short sales are anything but short. Most take at least 3 months. But yesterday after going swimming, I checked my phone and had a voicemail from our realtor, Doug, saying our offer was accepted. We offered 1,750 more than the listed asking price, but asked them to pay all closing costs, so we actually are getting it for less. Now we have to do all of our inspections, qualifications and all that jazz, but we are on our way to being home owners! Here is a link on google maps of the address if your curious as to just exactly where we will be. I know we still have quite a few steps to take, but I am so excited I've been spontaneously jumping up and down! Thanks for everyone's help and support.
