My first Mother's Day!

My sweet husband continues to amaze me. I reminded him a few weeks ago that Mother's day was coming up. He told me to tell Keldrie. I told him that I was, right then. So I gave him a few ideas and then decided that I wanted a new watch. So I went to a few stores with Matt so that he would know what I liked. Then He went out shopping on Friday. But on Saturday afternoon, that is when he really surprised me! He came home with the most beautiful bouquet of orange roses. They are really the most incredible flowers I have ever seen. On Sunday morning, he gave me a beautiful silver Fossil watch that will be perfect for everything. I have already worn it to church, running (it's not too heavy) and to the park. I am really amazed at how sweet he was. He kept checking with me to make sure I was having a great Mother's day. Keldrie gave me a present too, she was an absolute angel all day. It was truely a wonderful day!

Keldrie

Well, I know I haven't updated in a really long time. And I still don't have any pictures. But I thought I would just do a quick sum up of our Beautiful little girl.
After going a week past my due date, the doctor decided to start me. We showed up at 8 o'clock in the morning. The doctor got me going on the medicine to start the contractions. It was a long, and for the most part, uneventful day in the hospital. The nurses changed shifts and my doctor checked in on me every 4 hours or so. Then around 10:30 at night, I finally started to make some real progression and our baby girl was born at 1:29 A.M. on Thursday, March 19th. Which is fun becasue that is one of my best friend's birthdays as well.
We are totally in love with our new baby and she is absolutely adorable. I know everybody thinks their baby is the most beautiful baby in the world, but ours really is! We named her Keldrie Lynn Smith. She was 7 Lbs 14 ounces and 20 Inches long. Matt was such a trooper with still going to school, work, doing interviews, and getting us a new 2 bedroom apartment. He is still working so hard for our new family.
I am so grateful for such an amazing and loving husband and for our newest little member or our little family. I also have an even greater appreciation that Matt and I were married and sealed in the temple. Now our little girl is sealed to us and has all the special blessings of being born under the covenant. The choices you make really do have eternal consequences. I am starting to understand this more now. I love the gospel so much and the more I learn and experience, the more grateful I become for the restoration of the true church of Jesus Christ.
