Lagoon!

On Thursday, Matt and I had the chance to go to Lagoon with discounted tickets from his parent's stake. We had talked about going all summer if we could get some of those discounted tickets so this really worked out for us. Keldrie spent the day with her Grandma's. We dropped her off at my Mom's and then headed to the park. We decided to go to Lagoon-a-Beach first. We rode all the slides we wanted to and then got changed and headed to the roller coasters. The last time we had come to Lagoon was the summer after we got married. I had not had such a great time. Every few rides I would get nauseous, which had never happened to me before. A week later, when a home pregnancy test came back positive, we knew why. But I was excited this time to do all the rides we hadn't had a chance to ride for quite a while. We went first to the White Roller Coaster. Then it was over to Wicked! The last time we had come, it had broke down and we didn't get to ride. We wanted to make sure we got on this year!

After Wicked, we went right next door to Colossus. There was no line! We walked right up and took the seats at the very front! We had a wild ride and then since there was still no line, we ran around and jumped back in line, this time in the very back. Our experience was that the back is more intense, but it might have just felt that way because we rode it twice back to back like that.

Yeah, we took a picture while on the ride, but they didn't actually say anything about that. 

After that we headed to the Musik Express. That is the one that spins you around and around and crushes you into whoever is next to you in the seat. Matt was the one getting crushed and I was the one doing the crushing! 

After that it was over to the Sky Ride to let our stomaches settle. 

Now here is a ride where you can talk and take pictures and make 5 second friends.  We passed one little boy who looked really scared. He was sitting as far back as he could and was staring at the rail in front of him. Poor guy!  All by himself too!

By this time, it was about 2 pm and Matt and I were hungry! So we headed over to Arby's and grabbed some sandwiches. 

After waiting what seemed like a ridiculous time for our sandwiches, we ate every last crumb. And I sucked up every last drop of the Diet Coke we got. The Arby's was right by the kid rides, so we decided to go see if we could find Eric and Jenny and the kids. We had found out on our way down that they were coming too. We did find them and said hello. We decided that we would meet up again in about an hour and Matt and I would take the kids for a while so Eric and Jenny could ride the "big kid" rides. 

During that hour, we went to the Tidal Wave.

And then we did the Swings and then it was off to the Terror Ride

And this is why I didn't get the lead in Home Alone.....

Matt handled his "terror" at the Terror Ride better than me. Around that time we went back to find Eric and Jenny. We took over the kids for  a while and I do have to say it went quite well.

Katelynn ate and then she sat in my lap like a little angel. Matt took the boys to whatever ride they wanted.

They loved it! After that we all went to Pioneer Village and got some Ice Cream. After that, Matt and I left to get a few more rides in before we needed to go get Keldrie. We did Jet Star and then our last one of the day was the Samurai! Matt and I had not been on that one for years and years. I think I was like 14 the last time I went on it. It was pretty awesome and gave us enough adrenaline to get us home and to Keldrie. And that is our Lagoon Adventure!
