Wedding Ring!

Your wedding ring is the most important piece of jewelry a woman will ever get.  When Matt proposed to me and put the ring on my finger, I instantly fell in love with it. Three months later, the wedding band was added to it.  I look at it every day and hardly ever take it off. I was forced to take it off during the last three months of pregnancy with Keldrie, but there was little I could do about that.   So imagine my shock and fear when I looked down at my ring (in the shower) and saw this!
It might be a little hard to see in this picture, but the top-right center diamond is gone! I freaked out, of course. I literally felt my heart rate increase and my adrenaline surge. I knew I hadn't looked at my ring yet that morning, so I was hoping it was in my bed and not down the drain.  I quickly dried off and immedietly went through all my sheets carefully and looked under the bed and crawled around the bed and then went through the sheets again. No luck. I have a warrenty that includes all damaged or lost diamonds. So even if I didn't find it, I would be able to get my ring fixed. By now, Keldrie was ready for a nap, so I put her down and then began to pick up our family room to begin to comb the carpet in there. I picked up the blanket I had been wrapped up in last night as I watched TV to put up on the couch. There, smashed in the carpet, was a tiny, perfect diamond. I couldn't believe it!

I quickly put it in a plastic bag and put my ring in the case it came it to be taken to Kay in the mall later today.  The most frustrating thing about this is that I just got my ring back at the first of March after two of the diamonds were chipped and sent away to be fixed. I'm hoping that since I found the diamond, it won't take too long to fix this time. Before, it was gone for over two months.  I'm assuming that when they replaced the diamonds, they forgot to make sure the prongs were tightened. None the less, I am relieved that I found the diamond and that I won't have to worry when I vacuum later today about sucking up an expensive rock.
In other news, Keldrie is getting very attatched to the dollie she got for her birthday and likes to put her in her stroller and in the basket of the pony she she also got for her birthday.

Oh and she also looked adorable in the Easter dress I got her.  She has such beautiful blue eyes, and so I love dressing her in blue so they stand out.

Not all the learing she is doing is fun, from a mess stand point. She has learned how to open a cereal box.

And she has learned how to unstrap her diaper and does so whenever she isn't wearing bottoms and wants to make a statement to me.

But what can you do but laugh at her.  My silly little girl who I can't help but love!

  1. Lucky! That's why I take my ring off when I go to bed the sheets can loosen the diamonds. Silly Keldrie I love her! :)

  2. I cannot believe you found that diamond, that would be like searching for a needle in a haystack, that is amazing! I hope they get it fixed fast for you, I agree being without your wedding ring is just awful. Cute Keldrie she did look darling in her Easter dress, and that last picture so cute makes me want to give her a big hug, love her!
