Russell at 2 months!

Russell, you turned 2 months old the same day your big sister turned 3 years old!

We went to the doctor yesterday, all of us. You and your sister both needed a check up and so I enlisted the help of your daddy to help me with both kids. 

Here are your stats at two months:

Weight: 11.04 lbs. 

 and 

Height : 21 and a half inches

You are such a calm and sweet baby. I'm sure I've written that more than once lately, but it is so true. 

You smile more everyday. Right now you are laying next to me in the bed and you are smiling. You are also very proud of how well you can hold up your head and how you can move it from side to side. You are getting better at getting your hand to your mouth if I take too long to find a binkie. 

So far you have kept the dark complexion you were born with. You also haven't lost any of your baby hair, with the exception of the stuff on the rim of your ears. Your eyes look like they will be staying a dark blue, at least for now. Your cheeks have filled out so much in the last few weeks, and when you smile, they just ball up on each side of your face.  

Your big sister sure does love you. I sent her back to the waiting room with Daddy when you got your shots yesterday. I thought she would probably cry to see you in pain, even if it was over a few moments later.  

You and Daddy have a special bond already. If I can't get you to calm down, I hand you to him and he rubs your back. You calm right down. I've tried to imitate the back rub, but my hands must not be the right size. He just rubs circles on your back for a few minutes and you calm back down. 

Can't believe it has already been 2 months and can't believe you haven't been here always.
