Beautiful Keldrie, I am so happy to be your mother.  Getting you here sure did take a while longer than I expected.  Not only were you 8 days past your due date, you also took about 17 hours of labor to be born.  You were born at 1:29 AM and I was instantly in love. The first thing I called you was "Princess". Your daddy was also in love. He got to spend more of those first minutes with you while the doctors and nurses took care of me and you.  He picked out the first bow to go in your hair, which you wore all throughout your time at the hospital.

The most amazing thing about you as a newborn was your noise level. Even the delivery nurses commented on how strong your lungs are. You also began to try and hold your head up when you were only a few hours old.

More recently, you have become a big sister. You love your little brother so much. Whenever he cries, you tell me to feed him because he is hungry. You ask to hold him each day, most days several times. You are very sweet with him, and although I often have to tell you to leave him alone, I also love that you care so much about him.

Lately, you have become extremely interested in Princesses. You often tell me that you are going to marry Prince Charming.  When I ask you where, you say "in the temple".  Do you know how much I hope that for you? I hope you do find your Prince Charming and that he takes you to the temple to be married. I have been blessed enough to be living that fairy tale with your daddy and pray that you will have the same.

You sing. You sing by yourself, with me, to the radio, and during movies.  I love it! You have always been interested in music.  You also are very interested in your daddy's guitar.  When you are a little older, I will get you into music lessons. I don't know which type of lessons yet, but you have such interest that I can't let it go.

Getting you to eat right now is something of a challenge, but you do love a few certain things. Unfortunately, most of those things are at a fast food restaurant. You have learned to say Please and Thank you and usually remember by yourself. You say things all the time that make me laugh. Each day you seem to learn a new word, do something new, or ask a new question. You are full of questions.  The questions you ask are just amazing.  You ask me what new things are, you ask me if the trains we see know Thomas, and most adorably, you ask me if I am happy.  And being your mother makes me very happy!

You and daddy play video games together at least a few times a week! It is so fun to hear you two play together.

You also love to take pictures and so yesterday, when you asked if you could use my camera, I told you yes.  Here are the 3 pictures you took!

Keldrie, my daughter, at 3 you take as good pictures as your mother.

You are so loved, and on Sunday, we gave you a party and you had so many family who came to celebrate with you.

You are such a special girl and I can't wait to see where you go in this life! I'm glad I get a first row seat to the show!

You are my Princess Keldrie! We all love you!

  1. Little Kel you take great pictures sweetie! She really does Brooke I am quite amazed.

There is just no one quite like Keldrie, man we love her. She has one of those personalities that you want to just pick her up and give her a good squeeze....she's so endearing. Give her a hug and kiss from me!

So I meant to tell you, you may have wondered what in the world was going on with the box her present was in.....yes that would be Katelynn's doing. Surprise....surprise, trouble was at it again. I'm sorry she tore into that thing, I tried taping it up but I don't think I did the best job. I figured all Kel really cared about was the toy inside, hopefully she didn't notice?
