- I am thankful for Matt. He does so many wonderful things each and every day to make me feel happy, beautiful and loved. I could go on and on about the sweet things, but I won't for two reasons, one, I don't want to make anyone jealous and two, because no one wants to read that list. It would be forever long.
- Keldrie has brought me more happiness than I could have ever imagined when we decided to get pregnant. I feel like a stalker sometimes because I just love to sit and watch her when she doesn't know it. She does so many funny things and even mimics me in a way that is simply adorable. She dances a lot, which is beyond funny and adorable at the same time.
- The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me such confidence and security. I am blessed to know that Christ has died and been resurrected so that I might be with those I love forever. I also am blessed to be able to kneel down on my knees when I am feeling incompetent. Or sometimes offer a silent prayer while experiencing a stressful tantrum with my toddler. I am so proud that my husband holds and honor sthe Priesthood Power that God allows his children to have while here on the earth. I am beyond grateful that this same Priesthood has sealed my husband, my daughter and any future children to me for eternity. Sorry guys, but you are stuck with me! :)
- I am grateful for such wonderful family. I am glad that Matt and Keldrie and I are a loving family, that Matt and I both have such wonderful and caring parents and siblings. I grew up terrified that I would marry into a family of crazies. Not only are none of them crazy, they are in fact kind and wonderful people that I am glad to call family.
- I am thankful for my new house. It feels so good to me to have this home where I can make it beautiful and to be settled for some time now. I have felt lost as we bounced from place to place, but we are here to stay people. So get used to it. The consistency is great.
- I am thankful for my talents. Odd thing to put, I know, but my talents of cooking help me to be a better mother and wife. My habit of organizing has helped me to run a household. My habit of saying silly things keeps my husband laughing everyday.
- I am grateful for modern medicine and a doctor who does good check ups. Without modern medicine, this past year would have been very different. My hyperthyroidism would have gone undiagnosed for several months, my emotions would have been uncontrollable, I might have attempted to become pregnant, with the result being miscarriage or a very ill, underweight baby. But luckily none of this had to happen. I was diagnosed before my symptoms became more severe than just being extra tired. I was able to be treated with a one time dose of powerful medication, and Matt and I should be able to grow our family without complications once the effect of the radiation has completely left my body, making it a safe place for an unborn child once again.
- I am grateful for music. It makes me feel happy. I love dancing while I clean, cook, or play with my daughter. It lifts me in a way almost nothing else can.
- I am grateful for my body. I am amazed at what a human body can do. I am glad that although I do have a few minor issues, I can do everyday things without much pain or difficulty. I can hold my baby girl when she gets hurt or scared. I can cook dinner for my family. I can dance. (See #8) I can basically run a household.
- Last but far from least, I am thankful that I get to be home with my daughter each and everyday. I get to see her beautiful face each morning when she wakes up. I get to kiss her goodnight each night. I get to play with her, sing to her, help her learn to do new things. It is amazing what a toddler can do. I love hearing her little voice calling "Mama!" when she shuts herself in her bedroom and can't open the door. I love that whenever she is sick, she gets to stay with me, gets her medicine from me, be rocked to sleep by me. No strangers, no schedule, no stress, for either of us.
