Easter: Part 2

Okay, so Easter was like 4 weeks ago. No big deal. I have been busy. Don't know exactly what I have been doing, but I've been busy, okay?

The Saturday before Easter, my sweet MIL has any of us who want to come over to dye Easter Eggs.  And you might be able to guess by now, that making that sort of mess at someone else's house sounds lovely to me. So off we went. Megan and Jacob were there, as were Gaby and her four kids.

The babies, Russell and Daniel, were good boys and didn't complain too much about being strapped down away from the action.

Well, Sunday morning came, and Keldrie was just shocked to find her Easter basket sitting outside of her room, already with a few things it it.  Russell's was there too! The Easter bunny sort of made a silly mistake.  He brought some music makers.  Silly Easter Bunny.  Didn't he think for a minute what the next two weeks were going to be like with those things in the house?

Keldrie had had an accident during the night, so her pants are going to be missing in all of the morning pictures. Oh, and Mom decided that she would look adorable with some curly hair, so we had put the rollers in the night before. After mom and dad had a minute to wake up and find the camera, we went down stairs to see what sort of mischief the bunny had been up to the night before.

Russell was perfectly content to sit back and eat what he could while his big sister did all the leg work.

The Impressive Haul!

Oh, and this is what Grandma Keller had brought over the night before. Spoiled!

After church, it was off to Grandma Nicholas' house for the party there.  We got there just in time for  the Egg Hunt.  Really, they were waiting for us to start, but they weren't going to wait much longer.  That is what happens when church gets over at 4.

Once again, Russell was happy to sit back and watch!

We didn't stay long, we had another party to run to. Grandma and Grandpa Smith's!

Elaine does a really cool thing to help remind the kids about the real meaning of Easter.  She gathers them all together and then takes them through a room filled with pictures from the life of the Savior and talks about each one, ending up, of course, with the Resurrection.

While Grandma talks to the kids, the dads/uncles go outside to hide the Eggs.  Then once they have finished the kids are all let outside and the fun really begins!

My boys!

More Candy!

Russell loves the swing! What a fantastic Easter!
