Technically, she was suppose to be riding as an infant in arms (which you can do until they are 2 years old) but the plane had some empty seats and the women at the desk were nice enough to put me next to one of those empty seats and so Kel got to be a big girl in her own airplane seat! Next to the window too! Nicole was so excited to see us and we were very excited to see her. Kel got some attention in the Phoenix airport when she ran across the hall to Nicole. This elderly lady even gave us some balloons for her! Keldrie was in heaven. Nicole lives about 45 minutes from the airport, so we got lots of time to talk about everything that was going on with each other and our families. When we got to Nicole's, Keldrie discovered she wasn't the only little thing living in that house. Nicole as two dogs, Piper and Lexi.
Kel was in heaven! She did get the dogs in a little trouble because she kept trying to feed them and would offer her sippy to them and they would try and lick the drink out of it.
Our first day there we went SHOPPING! The shopping in Arizona is a step above here in Utah. The mall we went to was called San Tan. It is an "outside" mall much like Gateway, except there are streets running through and the stores are very large. We went to a store called Charming Charlie and it was incredible. It is an accessory store that is organized by colors. Jewelry, purses, wallets, some clothes, and other little nick knacks. They even had a little corner dedicated to little girl jewelry. We got Kel some new earrings and I got a few pieces of jewelry too. We also went into the Disney Store and this is what she came home with.
That is one big Nemo! We got the sunglasses too. You've got to have some good sunglasses down there. There are no mountains and rarely clouds to lessen the very bright sun. We also got Kel a Minny Mouse and some clothes for her birthday next month.
This is Nicole's husband, Cameron. I think he was trying to get the Internet working right now.
I really didn't manage to capture it with pictures very well, but we had a ton of fun visiting Nicole. It was fun to see her with a little pregnant belly. She is due at the end of July. This baby will be the first of Keldrie's cousins on the Keller side of the family. I don't know how she will do with having the share her Grandma Sharon. I'm not sure my mom knows how she is going to do it.
Well, that was our trip to Arizona! It was super fun, but we did miss Matt a lot. One morning Keldrie went looking for him. She was calling "Daddy, daddy!" as she walked around, like he was going to jump out of a closet or something. I think Matt missed us a lot too. He keeps telling me how happy he is that we are back. I guess on our next vacation, we better take him with us!
Brooke I didn't know your sister is expecting a little one, that's so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time, Matt did look pretty sad without you guys on Sunday. I bet he is happy to have his girls home now!
